Lori Bolt
Lori Bolt is a 1980 Graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art with a BFA in Textile Design and a minor in Drawing.
In the 1980’s Lori lived in Denver, Colorado where she operated a studio with a group of artist located in a closed down Denver Public School. Grant Street studio’s housed artist’s that were involved in the graphic media’s from printing making to silk screening on fabrics. In Denver she was involved in the Colorado Artist in residency program and received a grant to teach in the Colorado Springs Public Schools.
With a move back to Michigan she began to work with her parents on various projects at the Grange Hall Studio. Since that time she has exhibited and taught both in private, public schools, and art centers. Some of her workshops have been taught at Grand Rapids Public Schools, Ellsworth Public schools, Michigan State University,Crooked Tree Art Center, and she has also taught workshops for art teachers at the Michigan Art Education Conferences. She has won awards at the Flint Museum, Portside art Fair East Jordan, Michigan, and Crooked Tree Art Center.
Her work is in many private collections.
Working at the family art studio Lori produces her own fabric and painted pieces. She exhibits at Michigan Art fairs and Galleries. Her one of kind pieces can be viewed at Suebolt.com under her page.
